Ok, I've read this about 2 1/2 -3 times and I own the dvd. The book is better. Historical value removed, it's a very compelling, intense story about someone trying to effect change. Some of his initial views and tactics were not very universally popular but I think time has shown us, they may have been necessary. Sometimes hate must be dealt with on its own terms, but were not going to get all into that right now. Brother Malcolm never got much play and that's sad, because he was very well intentioned and actually did a lot of good. Read the book so the next time his name is mentioned in a conversation, you can speak intelligently about someone important.
