While I know I am biased because this dude happens to be my favorite author, this is an exceptionally good book with great characters. I have read it like 2 1/2 times and will probably again, at some point. (that's just how I read) Eric Jerome Dickeys style of writing is fresh, intelligent, and very crafty. His characters are almost always black, so you might be tempted to throw him into that "black author" box, but don't, he is more than that. (his books don't have typos and grammatical errors) Anyways, pick it up, great read and is better for your brain than watching BET (no diss)
