Three strikes and you are out.

First there was this girl, I thought she was amazing...still kinda do. She is such a great, beautiful, smart, funny, intelligent (smart and intelligent are not the same thing...)..she is such a ray of sunshine and happiness but I am just not sure I can live the life she would need me to live in order to keep her happy, It's almost like she is sooooo nice and good and while I have no ill intentions and am a pretty decent guy, I still feel like I'd have to walk on eggshells forever and I'm just an eggshell kinda guy. There are other factors which I wont mention ..some very fundamental...things that I am not sure can be overcome as well. but still, I wonder about her..she's a wonderful person. Could I possibly think she's too good for me and thus might I possibly have issues with that myself?? ....Probably not.

Then there was this other girl, when we met, there was really no magic. I thought she was attractive and funny and what not but that spark was non existent. Still, I was kinda lonely and bored and I figured why not take a shot and see what happens right?...Right. The first time we had sex, her body, visually, reminded me of Sarah, but not really. You know that feeling when you pick up a Coke thinking its gonna be a Pepsi ?? (probably not...)..odd, I know, but that is the best way to describe the feeling. She was fun as hell to be around and we started becoming good friends (kinda) but the attraction that needed to be there for me wasen't...mix that in with her own insecurity issues, bad drinking habits and other issues and it was a recipe for , notgonnaworkout. She also had a real conformist , need to be accepted, and part of the group thing, going on that would never have worked for me and I remember feeling like I didn't get it. It began to feel like a chore and once that happens, all bets are off.

Then there was the last girl. She was cool as shit and I actually knew her before the second girl and was interested for a while. Actually, I'm not even going into the situation with her because despite it not really being what I was looking for, what I found was equally as valuable. Understanding. It was temporarily exciting and risky and engulfing and probably exactly what both of us needed at that moment. She needed to get away from her "routine" and I needed to remember that something I forgot existed, exists. #Thatgirl is the shit. We may not ride of into the sunset together, probably won't in fact but I'm sure we will be real, actual friends and sometime that's all you really need. I have nothing bad to say, at all. [[ ps - a lot of ya'll misjudge her don't quite know how to receive her but she's gonna be famous. Watch.]]

I'm going to be honest, I watched this on bootleg the other day and I have no idea if this movie is coming out in theaters or not. That being said, if it does come out, it's definitely worth seeing and had I paid to see it, I would not have been upset. 50 gives his usual gangstered out performance but the thing is that he can actually kinda act. Combine that with a decent group of A-minus list actors with an alright script and you got a movie. Add lots of people getting shot, some for no reason and you have what us Americans like to call entertainment. Movies...bootleg..online,, whatever..if you come across it, watch it.

Ok..so much on my mind so little concentration. How long can I stay focused to type this? See, I'm getting of course already.. first, the cars..

First I had "Lisa" ...

and she decided to crash into these folks....

I then had another car just like "Lisa" but she was dark blue and never really left much an impression on me and I can't remember what I named her. She just died...old age....she didn't wanna go on and passed away on the side of I20 west and Fulton Industrial. It was a cold night.

Then my ni66a's (who's name shall be withheld) sidepiece sold me "Bobby Cox" for the absolute low right when I needed him. A funny side note is that I kinda facilitated my ni66a and his sidepiece meeting each other a few years ago.... a favor for a favor.

Now "Bobby Cox" was my ni66a. Held me down like free school lunch back in the 80's (Ok, I never ate that shit..I confess...but it sounded good.) "Bobby" and I got along fine. He had his little kinks and shit but whenever anything went wrong, it was never anything major...change an axel here....get your brakes done here...hello...goodbye....kinda like clockwork. Being that"Bobby" was a little improvement, after a while, I just started to outgrow him....

So I went and got ....

I haven't named her yet...got a few ideas I'm tossing around and "Mercedes" is kinda at the top of the list...I know you're thinking, who does that? Who would named a BMW.. "Mercedes" and I've gotta reply, me..I'm your guy who probably would do that.

Before I forget and get off base, I sold "Bobby Cox" to this guy....

..who despite being one of my closet friends for years and knowing I was looking out for him when no one else would, decided to get low on me and currently owes me $1000. Yeah. It happens. So much to say, so little time. Time is a thing that is not to be taken for granted, ever. Time is too short and totally non-renewable. That's my fancy way of saying that once you lose it, you do not get it back. Ever. Don't waste it.

I stopped talking to Sarah again and this time I'm pretty sure it's for good. It was not anything that happened or particular reason, it was just time. When she was here , whenever that was, we met up after work, one night and went to Waffle House and while I didn't say it to her at the time, it felt fitting to really say good bye. We're just different now, or I should say, I am just different now and no longer need that connection. She's not my friend and I am not hers. We were just trying to hang on to once was and that was just too long ago now for me to even care.

First and last time we hung out was in a Waffle House..Here's to the good times. Check please!

Moving on.... literally and otherwise, so I met someone I kinda like. Or, wait, I should say, she met me. Well, maybe we kinda met each other. It's so funny how things work out because when you least expect it, in the most unlikely of places...SMH. Without giving too much away, I'll just say, I think she is kinda the shit. No suspect moves...yet...I'll keep ya'll posted.

The Oven finally died on me the other day. I was a warm, summer eve... driving home and it just went as far as it could go. It expired on I20 and Fulton Industrial Blvd. It's in a better place now. Go and be with all the cars that have passed b4 you. Rest In Pieces ( or parts....I sold it to a junk yard ). I will get something else this weekend.

Life is moving soooo fast and I must say, I love it. Things are taking shape and I can see what's coming next. It's all really simple. There are street signs on the journey through life, you have to adjust your mind to see and follow them and the rest is fucking easy.

Ok so I am baaaacccckkkk!!!!!. Sorry I left ya'll but I needed some time to evolve into something better.

Did anybody out there miss me? I am in such a different place from the last time we shared. I am so happy I can barely contain myself. Things get better everyday. It's a state of mind. I got two jobs now and a hustle here and a hustle there and a somewhat reliable car but, it's not really as much any of that as it is just me having a conscious awakening. I see life for what it really is now, or at least what it really is to me, and I love and appreciate every minute of it. I've experienced so many things, and know or have known so many awesome unique people, how can I not be grateful.

My Kryptonite controls me no more. In fact, she's in town and she just left and after all of the rain, we have finally reached a place where we can co-exist. There's no hurt left, no resentment, no pain, no anger... just love, appreciation, and understanding. We helped each other grow when we both needed it most and I don't think either of us are mad at our individual results. She'll always be my friend. I'll always be hers. ( for those of you that know me, ain't that some shit??? After all this time, the sun finally shines through...)

On another note, why do people always want you to be who they want you to be vs. who you are?? I am like flowing energy in a liquid, vapor, electric, invisible state. I can't be controlled, shaped, captured, harnessed,and or contained. I am a burst of light and all you can ever hope to do, all you should ever want to do, is just ride the explosion and enjoy it. I will always just be me and that's all I ever want to be.

Anyways, this is just a re-intro, I'll keep it brief but I am back and will be. Stay tuned.

So Nikki and I decided to swing by the High to see the Davinci exhibit. The exhibit was over crowded and while it was a little interesting, everything else was way cooler to me. Here's some of what I saw....

First, he went to go holla at his brother Flipper for $$$ to get high, so he didn't have to go hit some old lady upside the head. He said it himself. Ok...so today we are going to learn how to make french toast. Fellas, pay special attention because the girls just looooove my french toast...lmao

This is recipe is enough for 2 people (about 6 pieces of F.toast)

First: I usually cook my french toast after making bacon so I just pour out a little of the bacon grease and cook my F.T. in that. However, if you are too good for that or you don't like bacon for some strange reason, you can use pretty much any oil.

Don't overdue it, just put enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Heat the pan on medium heat.

Second: In a bowl (preferably one that you can lay the bread, flat in) beat up 2 eggs really well and get your milk. Now pay attention because this one of two key spots where you can fuck your whole meal up. Add a SPLASH of milk..beat it up a little more and then check the consistency. When you dip your fork in it and pull it up, it should ooze of the fork, just right. You don't want it to be too thick because then you will have very "eggy" french toast, but you dont want it too runny either because that means you have too much milk. Play with it, add another SMALL splash of milk if you need to, in order to get it just right.

Third: Add a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. (This is all extra flavoring here...if you have it, Great but in a pinch, you can still make some decent french toast w/o it)

Fourth: Sprinkle ground cinnamon into mixture and stir up a little.

Fifth: Ok pay attention again because this is the other area you can really fuck up at. Lay your bread in the batter and pick it right back up. Don't let it sit, even for a second or if will get too soggy. Flip it to the other side and do the exact same thing.

Sixth: Drop into frying pan (the oil should be hot by now)..Cook for about 3-4 minutes and flip over. Repeat as needed

Seventh: Sprinkle more cinnamon into the batter

Today was an interesting day, to say the least. Alia was here and she always brightens any day so it was already going great but then outta the blue, my Gemini friend hit me up and told me she is gonna come for a visit. Niice. (She lives in NY)..she's kinda electric, a dope model and we've never got to shoot in the "A" so we will, I got plans, and we will make magiic.. ...then, another friend (she models too, we've never shot but made plans to) hits me up, again, outta the blue, gives me a name a number to call about a bartending job in a lounge, I call, go meet with who I need to meet with and now have a new job at a cool spot with decent $$$$ potential. I'm getting another car tomorrow and on top of all of this, I am shooting my first wedding on Feb 6th and am actually being paid to do so. I got a few other things on deck and ideas I am about to execute and I gotta say, things are looking up. I got out the gate of 2010 a little slow but I am catching my stride and about to take off. I am predicting big things this year (my book of daily horoscopes says so..) and I am going to go ahead and put it out there, I am coping that 5 series by my birthday (6/3)...cash. For my cousin Nikki's birthday we went and did something good...We painted ceiling tiles and shoveled mulch at the local Boys and Girls club...My Tile was voted Most Bestest in Show. (that's a true story..I got witnesses)

We also went Indoor Rock climbing the day before...those tight ass shoes they make you wear...just thinking about them and my toes hurt.

How 2 Chef...

Ok so I think from now on I am going to show you all how to cook the things I like to eat and hopefully the women of my dreams is out there, reading this blog from her mansion, and she will learn how to cook shit I will eat. (I've had a shaky history with girlfriends and cooking...one once baked me chicken she forgot to season and another didn't eat meat so you already know that was a frequent disaster, not for a lack of effort) Anyways today we're frying shrimp...the way I like to eat them. (It's my blog ain't it??)

First: Defrost, peel, de-vein (that means scrape that shit that looks like shit off of it..lol), clean, and finally season the shrimp (I use salt, pepper, and light garlic salt or powder...light!!)

Second: Beat up two eggs (this is in ratio to about 30-45 shrimp) in a bowl and then dump the shrimp in the bowl and make sure they are fully coated in egg.

Third: Fill a Zip-lock bag up about halfway with Progressive Italian Seasoned breadcrumbs and put the shrimp in the bag. Shake violently until shrimp are fully covered.

Fourth: Fill a decent frying pan halfway with any cooking oil of your choice ( I use vegetable) and turn the pan on about medium heat and let the oil get hot. (Start washing dishes now, while waiting for the oil to heat up so you don't have to do it later)

Fifth: When the pan is hot enough, put the shrimp in slowly and don't fill that pan too high, give them shrimp room to breath ( in my Biggie voice)

Finally: Cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side, when nicely brown, flip and do the same for the other side. Drain in a bowl or plate with paper towel and enjoy.

I gots to stick to the script. If I am going to write this, I must keep it 100% real, right?? Right. So the other night, I danced with the Devil. Actually we sleep together, as in, the same bed...minimal touching. (for real...light cuddling and I ran my fingers through her hair a few times (she loves that) ) I smelt the smell. That familiar scent. I missed that shit for 8-9 months..this has been our longest manic episode. I got high. I won't lie. I soaked it in, stayed in the moment and for glimmers of seconds, it felt real. It felt like before. But it's not. This last hiatus has made me a lot wiser and I know I must stick to what I know is true. The next day she texted me and told me how she needed that and no one else can make her feel that way...I grinned for a second, I guess that's what one does...but in the next second, I know it's bullshit. The Devil is crafty. She means me no good. To me, she comes with the familiar, but now I know better....it's all part of the routine. I have learned to listen with actions and not with comes out of her mouth and if I really get into that, we don't really even have a friendship to cling to...she's is not my friend. And to add to all that, I think she is possibly too deep into whatever it is she is really into....everything she says isn't really the truth so I will never really know. Don't think I want to. Now right off jump, let's be clear about one thing...do not front like you did not watch his show, Pee Wee's Playhouse on Saturday mornings (assuming you were alive back in the 80's) and don't try to pretend you didn't (and probably still do) love the movie, "Pee Wee's Big Adventure". Let's just get that straight.

I saw a biography of this dude on some channel last week and I gotta say, Pee Wee was pretty gangsta. I mean he named himself Pee Wee Herman and he stayed in the character whenever he was in public, almost to the extent of really just being, well, Pee Wee. Sure he got caught rubbing one out in an XXX movie house but isn't that what they were there for??? Besides, this was before internet porn and sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

I can try to explain but you wouldn't understand. Sometimes the weight is so heavy. There aren't words to explain where it hurts at but, it hurts. Is it all in my mind? Maybe it's my soul. It's dark and being the person I am most often, I like the dark but this dark is different. It's hopeless and the absence of hope is a very slippery, dangerous slope. The absence of hope negates the very reason for existence and if I start thinking like that, there's no telling where that ride can take me. I know what you're thinking if you know what I'm saying. No, I am not suicidal, never have been and never will be, sanity prevailing. If I were gonna go out, I am trying to take a bank and going out blasting. (no innocents or civilians) That's another blog though.

The other day I was watching is program on PBS called "This Emotional Life" and I think it's something everyone should see. It's this modern investigative special that explores our minds, depression, happiness, and just our overall mental well being. Anyways, as I was watching it, I thought back to when these feelings began in my life and it probably started around the time I was 13, when my cousin Brian passed away. The thing is, I really don't know why. I feel like I am a pretty logical, realistic person and I understand that death is a part of the cycle of life. I try to always be in the moment and not take a minute for granted, because I know, understand, and respect that life is short. I feel like I have made my peace with him being gone. It's been like 19 years. Still, maybe I need to ask my mother about how I was before then, but that's about as far back as I can rememeber it being how it is.

Ok..I am getting tired of writing and thinking about this so....To be continued (maybe)

Saw this the other day. Interesting. While I found the script and plot (mostly) to be obvious and telegraphed , the plot twist at the end is original (kinda) and makes the movie worth watching (again....kinda)

So I had this dream right, I was offered this job and it was amazing. A dream job, no, a career. Everything about it was beautiful. The building, the office, the people, it was all beautiful. It wasn't in say, maybe, my exact chosen field (like I have a chosen field...I crack myself up) per say, but it was still a very highly respectable position. Definitely a move up. We never discussed money but I knew it would be lucrative. It was like 98% perfect. It would been 100% if it wasn't such a large company, in my mind, anyways. I just felt like with it being so popular and publicly known, it could not possibly give me the same sense of accomplishment and fulfillment as my last position. Just by sheer coincidence , my boss from my last job emailed me, while I was thinking over whether I was to take the job offer or not. Anyways, the email was just , the regular, hi, how are you ,etc. The thing is this, I knew they were actually writing me because they wanted me to come back. I had quit the job because it was unsteady (like sometime there would be no business..hence, no work) but it was my job and I knew the person who is doing the job now could not be doing it as well as me. Almost impossible ( I like the way that word looks...impossible. ) because I virtually created the position as I went along. I built it and I seemed to have some feeling of attachment to it or something. But I knew it couldn't go back. I missed the job but how could I go back and I am getting offered the types of careers I am currently being offered?? It was a step backwards, But, how could I take this job where I wasn't even sure that my new boss would ever know that I am a big big Giants fan, not a morning person (especially Mondays) , and I worked better when I am challenged ?? My old boss knew. (Only in my dreams...smh)

What does it all mean and how could I even be questioning such things in such an economy??..I guess I don't dream in recession. Meanings, meanings, who's got a meaning...most things don't mean what they are supposed to mean anyways. You know what I mean???

This dude was on a serious come up and Carlito didn't see it. That's Carlitos fault and not his. He played by the rules. He tried to introduce himself, he made his man pay that check, even got a bottle of the good stuff and tried to have a sit down. Carlito snubbed him. Mistake number 1. Then, when he needed to holler at Stephie for a minute, Carlito gonna tell her to stay put. This escalates into a fight where ni66as jumped Benny and Carlito doesn't wanna put that work in, so they gave him a pass. Mistake number 2. Finally, Carlito apparently was not paying Pachanga enough and Benny figured out how to exploit that. He laid low and just when Charlie (as his chick called him cause Carlito was too hispanic), thought the beef was dead, POW, Benny Blanco from the Bronx on that ass. I'm willing to bet Steffie's ass fell back in line too....
